We invest in students. We invest in teachers. We invest in the community.

Since 2006, TFFT has worked to give Tanzania's most vulnerable children access to quality education, to improve the skills of the teachers they learn from, and to build community resources that serve learners of every age. The three programs work together.

Investing in Students

We believe success looks different for each student. That is why our Scholarship Program is built around each child, covering school fees, health care, psychosocial support, and career preparation. We walk with students from first enrollment to the start of their careers.

Investing in the Community

The Learning Centre in Usa River opened in 2025. It has a public lending library, a computer training centre, and a teacher training facility. More programs are opening in the next two years. The Centre is free and open to the surrounding community of roughly 500,000 people.

Investing in Teachers

Teachers are the largest in-school influence on student outcomes, particularly for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Since 2010, TFFT has trained more than 4,500 teachers in government and private schools across four districts around Arusha. Those teachers spend entire careers in classrooms, and they carry what they learn with them.
